Fiona Roe

Fiona Roe

After graduating from Edinburgh University with a degree in Microbiology, Fiona worked in the Marine Biology department of Heriot Watt University. She then worked at the Beatson Institute for Cancer Research in Glasgow, studying the link between papilloma virus and cancer.

She left full time employment to raise her family of three. She was involved in a charity which brought children suffering from the after-effects of the Chernobyl explosion to the UK for respite breaks.

Her involvement with Crossroads began when it provided end of life care to her mother. She joined the Management Board of the Clackmannanshire branch and was a member then secretary for eight years until it came under Head Office management.

Her main interests are her family, gardening, yoga and travel.
